ALNAFT is the public authority responsible for promoting and enhancing the value of the national hydrocarbon mining domain.

Management of mining titles
To assess and monitor exploration and production activities, ensuring the proper conservation of reservoirs.
Approval of development plans
Approve development plans and their periodic updates.
Assessment and oversight of upstream activities
Maintain an up-to-date national inventory of hydrocarbon reserves
Promotion of local content
Manage and enhance the value of the national geological and geophysical data heritage.
Support for research and innovation
Issue prequalification certificates to sector operators
Management and enhancement of national data
Promote investment in the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons within the national mining domain.
